Crossway is a top modern jumper stallion with a shiny conformation and a particularly sporty style. Athletic ability through and through, he presents relaxed and very effective movements. This grey horse is a natural phenomenon over the jumps: he seems to play with all dimensions, displaying perfect technique, quick reflexes and extraordinary overview. His sire Calido I is one of the most famous jumper sires worldwide. He has been delivering a series of top horses for breeding and sport until today, including 78 licensed sons and 333 advanced (S) level show jumpers. The dam Unita I is a full sister to the licensing and stallion performance test-winner Chico's Boy. Dam's sire Carpaccio also won his stallion performance test, he was placed in the final of the 1996 Federal Championships of five-year-old dressage horses and qualified another time for Warendorf the following year. 13 sons of Carpaccio were licensed, including Cabardino N, Carpalo, Casparino, Chandon, Clooney and Cruyff. Successful show jumping progeny are Colibri/Tobias Bachl, Classic Line/Cora Ackermann-Ripke and Catatani/Anna Maria Benner. Dam's sire Silbersee was one of the most successful stallions in the international jumper scene in the 1980s with Dr. Michael Rüping. Crossway traces back to line 104a that presented stallions such as Aldan, Capitano, Caretano, Carloni, Carneval, Celano, Contendro I and II, Conteur, Corland, Corlandus, Corretto, Cranach, Joliot, Landego, Landetto, Laurin, Leuthen I and II, Lonely Boy, Lorcan, Medoc and Morphy as well as the international successful top horses Retina/Fritz Thiedemann, Athletico/Ludger Beerbaum Corradina/Carsten-Otto Nagel and Athlet and Corlanda/both Willi Melliger/SUI.
