Lancelot is the first Trakehner to enrich the stallion ensemble in Klein Offenseth. The extremely typey bay embodies all the East Prussian aristocratic attributes, impresses with high rideability values and basic gaits of exquisite quality. His excellent interior favors high comprehension skills with an innate willingness to collect. Acording to his age, Lancelot has already won and placed highly in tests for young riding and dressage horses, including placing as a finalist in the 2024 Trakehner Riding Horse Championships at the Bundesturnier in Münster-Handorf. He passed the HLP sport test with flying colors in Munich-Riem at the beginning of 2024.
His pedigree meets the highest standards: His sire Ivanhoe, son of the formative Millennium, was Trakehner Riding Horse Champion at the 2016 Bundesturnier in Hanover and has won several tests for young riding and dressage horses. Eleven of his sons have been licensed to date. The dam Lady Lightfoot Selsø is a half-sister of the Danish Trakehner champion stallions Lacroze Selsø (by Buddenbrock) and Luxus Selsø (by Schwarzgold). The dam's sire, Sixtus, was reserve champion at the 1991 Trakehner licensing and was declared an elite stallion in the Trakehner breed due to his heredity and athletic performance. He competed in show jumping from 1995 to 1998, achieving victories and numerous high placings in advanced (S) level show jumping competitions with Gilbert Böckmann. Kostolany, one of the most influential Trakehner sires of the post-war period, is in third generation and has a worldwide reputation. He won his licensing in 1987 and was subsequently promoted to Grand Prix level. He was also famous for his starring role in the musical "Phantom of the Opera". Lancelot represents the Trakehner mare family O358 Lore 540 (Tornau-Jahnshof), which is cultivated with particular dedication, especially in Denmark and the USA. Nine licensed stallions come from this family, including the important Warendorf state stud stallion Garamond, Ladroneur (PB DK), the elite stallion Lehndorff's (PB Bay.), Leibjäger (PB Westf.) and Leonidas (PB USA, Grand-Prix under Hilda Gurney/USA), as well as his full sister Lavinia, also successful with Hilda Gurney, the internationally successful dressage horse Litvinenko Sjaelstofte/Natali Hering (USA) and numerous dressage and driving horses at advanced (S) level.
